Basic Recipes: Jams, Spice Mixes, Appetizers & Dips, & More

I think it’s important to avoid preservative-laden condiments and sauces in the cases where you a) eat a lot of them, and b) can easily make something that tastes just as good or better. Some things, like ketchup, I only need a few times a year and so making my own doesn’t make a lot of sense. Others, like peanut butter and jelly, I eat 4-5 times a week and so I’d rather know exactly what I’m putting into my body. And let’s face it, the homemade stuff just tastes better!

So here are some homemade jams, spice mixes (like taco seasoning), appetizers and dips, and many more basic recipes that should be in your arsenal!
