Grapefruit Cardamom Gin Cocktail
This delicious grapefruit cardamom gin cocktail is perfect any time of year, but especially in spring and as we slide from summer into fall. It's perfectly balanced and refreshing, with a hint of warmth from the cardamom syrup.

Angostura, Peychauds and Regans Bitters
Riedel Nick & Nora Cocktail Glass, 4 oz
Steel Alcohol Jigger 1 Ounce x 2 Ounce
OXO Steel Single Wall Cocktail Shaker
Ingredients
2
ounces
of good gin
2 1/2
ounces
of fresh-squeezed grapefruit juice
could back off to 2
1/2 to 1/2
ounce
of cardamom simple syrup
1
dash of Peychaud's Bitters
Garnish: grapefruit peel twist
Instructions
Fill a cocktail shaker halfway with ice and pour all the ingredients in (minus the garnish).
Shake for 15 seconds, then strain into a coupe glass.
Garnish with the grapefruit peel.
Notes
You definitely want to use fresh grapefruit juice, not store-bought.
If you don't have the bitters, don't worry...they add a little something but this cocktail is delicious without them.
